CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VARIETY:
Soft flesh kaki tipo are a variety of persimmons typical of the region Campania, characterized by the considerable productivity of the tree and the large size (caliber). These italian persimmons derive from trees of the species dyospyros Lotus.
It is a variety of astringent persimmon (therefore with a high amount of tannins) which is packaged and distributed only after the process of post maturation (process of astringency or detannizzazione with ethylene).

SOFT FLESH KAKI TIPO QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance: healthy fruit, clean and smooth.
It presents a homogeneous maturation and the typical “ragnatura” or small signs in the shape of a spider web on the outside of the fruit. The presence of the ragnature guarantees the fruits’ health and it’s the sign of belonging to the variety.
Color: the skin is yellow-orange uniform and the flesh is yellow-orange too.
Organoleptic: tender flesh, solid and very sweet.
Presence of seeds: no seeds
Flesh firmness at consumption: the fruit is firm but soft.
Storage: At the time of consumption, will mantain for 3-4 days at a temperature of 8-10 ° C.

CAMPANIA’S VANILLA PERSIMMONS
CHARATTERISTICS OF THE VARIETY:
Campania’s vaniglia persimmons are a variety of persimmons typical from Campania, characterized by the considerable productivity of the tree and the dark flesh of the fruit (bronze). The Campania’s vaniglia derived from trees of the species dyospyros Lotus.
It is a variety of not astringent persimmons that can be consumed immediately after harvesting.
The Campania’s vaniglia persimmon and the soft flesh one are obtained from the same tree, the only difference between the two fruits depends exclusively from the fertilization through pollination.
The vaniglia persimmons are fruits fertilized with the presence of seeds in a number ranging from 1 to 8.
The soft flesh kaki tipo are not fertilized (parthenocarpic) and have no seeds within their insides.
CAMPANIA’S VANILLA PERSIMMON QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS

The presence of the “ragnature” guarantees the fruits’ health and it’s the sign of belonging to the variety.

Presence of seeds: in variable number from 1 to 8 seeds (depending on the degree of fermentation reached).
Flesh firmness: the fruit is solid.
Storage: This variety of persimmons, at the time of consumption, can be stored for 3-4 days at a temperature of 8-10 ° C. Conservation is extended to 6-10 days with temperatures

ROJO BRILLANTE PERSIMMONS
CHARATTERISTICS OF THE VARIETY:
The “rojo brillante” is a variety of a popular persimmons’ Spanish crop particularly popular in the area of Valencia. The trees of this variety are “manageable from the ground” and are of short stature with large size fruits (average weight: 250 gr.). The “Rojo Brillante” persimmons derived from the species Diospyros kaki Lotus.
It is a variety of astringent persimmons that can not be consumed immediately after harvesting, but only after the process of detannizzazione in the sealed chamber with the presence of carbon dioxide at high concentrations.

ROJO BRILLANTE PERSIMMON QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS:
Appearance: healthy fruit, clean and smooth.
Color: orange-red peel, flesh is intense yellow-orange.
Organoleptic qualities: firm flesh and very sweet.

Flesh firmness at consumption: the fruit is solid.
Conservation: Conservation is extended to 20-30 days at a temperature of 2-4 ° C.
